Greg Dent Jr. Earns Danger Player of the Week Honor

For the second time this season, the Green Bay Blizzard got the best of the Nebraska Danger in a 60-50 win Saturday night, but a shining star for the Danger was wide receiver Greg Dent Jr.

After pulling in just three touchdowns through six games, the seasoned wideout doubled the number for the season, by catching 3 TD’s in the tough loss. Dent Jr. hauled in eight catches for 81 yards in the game, and the next receiver wasn’t even close. In fact, no other receiver had more than two receptions in the game.

What’s even more impressive is that all three of the TD receptions came in the fourth quarter. With 14:26 left in the game, Tommy Armstrong Jr. connected with Dent Jr. for a 13-yard score. Then with 6:46 left in the game, the duo did it again from 20 yards out. The third TD catch came with just 47 seconds left in the game on a 6-yard TD that made it 53-43.

The Danger made it 53-50 with 15 seconds to go, but Green Bay was able to ice the game with a 6-yard TD run with just 6 seconds to go to lead to the final score of 60-50.

The Danger are now set for a quick turnaround to play the same exact team this Saturday in Grand Island. The Green Bay Blizzard will be coming to town looking for the season sweep of the Danger. Meanwhile, Nebraska will be looking to salvage one win in the series to get their record back to .500 on the year.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. inside the Heartland Events Center for Family Night!
