New Head Coaches take the helm for Danger

A lot has changed since the last time Nebraska and Arizona met on the IFL gridiron. In the two team’s first meeting back on March 24th, the Danger entered the game undefeated and tied for first in the IFL standings while Arizona already had one loss.

This time around, Arizona is atop the IFL standings while the Danger are losers of six-straight games.

The fall from grace has claimed its share of casualties, as the Danger parted ways with head coach Mark Stoute following the team’s 31-20 loss to Green Bay this past Friday, but hope is not lost in Grand Island.

In fact, if the team finds a way to win two of its final three games, they secure a spot in the IFL playoffs as the four-seed, which currently would pit them up against Arizona in the opening round.

The Rattlers are coming into this week’s contest off of a shocking loss of their own, as they suffered their first home loss of the season last week to Iowa, who edged Arizona in overtime by going for two when they trailed by one.

Arizona has already punched its ticket to the IFL playoffs, however, so it’s more of a seeding race for them at this point as they hold a half-game edge on the Barnstormers for the top seed in the playoffs. However, if Iowa wins out, the Barnstormers would claim the top spot.

Kickoff for the road tilt at Arizona is set for 5:00 p.m./CT in Phoenix
