Danger ready for re-match with Blizzard

After opening the year 3-0, the Nebraska Danger has lost six of its last seven games. However, the team showed some life against a Sioux Falls team that is figured to be a United Bowl favorite.
The Danger fell to the Storm 40-36, but also missed three field goals in the loss, which even making two of them would have provided them the edge they needed to knock off Sioux Falls for the first time this season.
The Danger was led by a new quarterback as well – Greg Hankerson, Jr. After a struggle-filled losing streak with Jesse Scroggins at the helm, head coach Mark Stoute turned to the new man under center and did see some good things. Hankerson threw for four touchdowns, but also had some rust to knock off as he threw an interception and lost a fumble in the tough loss.
Who possibly shined the most was Danger running back Angelo Pease, who caught two touchdowns and ran for another. In the end, however, it wasn’t enough to push the Danger back into the win column just yet.
Now it’s the rubber-match between the Danger and the Green Bay Blizzard – a team who stunned the Danger a few weeks ago with a convincing 47-25 win over the team in Wisconsin. It was certainly a big difference from the Danger’s 59-23 win over the Blizzard back in Week 3.
The Danger still hold a three-game edge for the last playoff spot in the IFL with four games to go, but a loss to Green Bay this week could diminish those chances.
