Nebraska Danger set to face Cedar Rapids Titans Friday

The Nebraska Danger are looking to keep their momentum going on Friday night against the Cedar Rapids Titans, after picking up a 49-30 win over Salt Lake last week.
The Titans fell just short of upsetting the Iowa Barnstormers at home last week. After falling behind 21-0 to start the game, the Titans finally got rolling in the second half under former Danger quarterback, Brion Carnes. A 9-yard touchdown pass with 3:05 remaining pulled the Titans within 6 points of the lead, but a fourth down stop at the goal line by the Barnstormers defense as time expired gave the Titans their eighth loss of the season.
The Danger are back on a win streak after beating the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles last week at home. After a very close first half, the Danger went into the locker room with a one-point lead, 18-19. Danger defensive coordinator Pig Brown's defense was able to shut down the Screaming Eagles offense in the second half by constantly disrupting the offensive backfield. Defensive Lineman Eze Obiora tied the all-time Danger record for sacks in a game with 3.5. The defense combined for six sacks and nine tackles for loss.
Quarterback Patrick McCain started for the Danger and kept Salt Lake guessing all night. McCain completed seven passes on 15 attempts for 118 yards and three touchdowns. McCain also rushed 12 times for 69 yards and three more touchdowns. Rob Brown also rushed 12 times for 43 yards and a touchdown.
"I'm really pleased with how our team re-grouped this week," said Danger head coach Hurtis Chinn. "Our defense really came together and started feeding off of each other's momentum. When everything starts clicking like that, we can take on anybody. Now we need to keep up that momentum."
